ESC Global Chiang Mai HomePlan with confidence
Frequently asked questions.
Booking, stays, learning programmes, payment and farm policies in one place.
What is included in the Farm Life Experience?
Eco-accommodation, daily breakfast, guided farm activities and hands-on sustainable-living experiences, including suitable seasonal harvesting and animal-feeding activities. Lunch and dinner are not included.
Why are the accommodation rates priced this way?
The stay includes more than a room: farm learning, breakfast and activities. Each booking also supports sustainable farming, local employment and environmental education.
Can I extend or customise my stay?
Yes, subject to live availability. Mushroom workshops, farm-to-table cooking and eco-learning sessions may be added by arrangement.
How do I get to the farm?
Private transport from Chiang Mai may be arranged at additional seasonal rates. You can self-drive using our map, or take an air-conditioned minivan from Chang Phuak Bus Station to Phrao. After confirmation, share your earliest-departure ticket so pickup can be coordinated.
What is the Walk in the Farm experience?
A relaxed introduction to mushroom ecology, Lingzhi, Tiger Milk and King Tuber mushrooms, sustainable intercropping and farm life. The published price is SGD 12, with daily visiting hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
What is the Volunteer & Immerse programme?
A minimum seven-day learning journey based at Farm Life Experience. Published options are 7D/6N at SGD 408, 14D/13N at SGD 765, and 30D/29N at SGD 1,390. Participation, accommodation and respect for farm systems are core parts of the programme.
When are the mushroom masterclasses held?
Lingzhi is normally held on the first Wednesday–Friday of each month; Tiger Milk on the second Wednesday–Friday. Private sessions are available for groups of six or more. Straw Mushroom Masterclass dates are arranged by enquiry.
What do masterclass fees include?
Tuition, hands-on materials, accommodation, eco-farm access, farm-to-table meals and a Certificate of Completion. Extra nights may be requested at SGD 65 for the Container Eco-Pod or SGD 108 for the Garden Sanctuary, subject to availability.
How does payment work?
Farm-experience dates are held for six hours after booking. ESC Global requires 100% payment upfront by PayPal or PayNow Singapore. Payment is verified before final confirmation.
What is the cancellation policy?
For masterclasses, cancellation 14 days or more before the start date is refundable less third-party costs; cancellations within 14 days are non-refundable. If ESC Global cancels, guests may choose a refund less third-party costs or reschedule. Farm-experience terms shown during booking also apply.
What conduct and safety rules apply?
Guests must respect the farm, staff, other participants and the surrounding community; follow facilitator safety instructions; and disclose medical, dietary or accessibility needs. Smoking, alcohol, illegal substances and disruptive behaviour are not permitted on farm premises.
How is certification awarded?
Full programme attendance and completion of required assessments are necessary for an ESC Global Certificate of Completion. Training materials and demonstrations remain ESC Global intellectual property.
